Dear RiverGrace family,
This coming Sunday we'll have a special baptism service at the Home of Loving Faithfulness in Sheung Shui, where Judy serves the needs of the handicapped folks there.
We will not meet at Yan Yue church on Sunday. Note also that our service will start at 11:00am, not the normal time of noon. That's because we'll have BBQ for lunch after the baptisms.
Rita will lead the worship songs this week. Because there may be some of the staff or residents join the service, P. Tommy will translate the sermon into Chinese. The rest of the service will not be translated.
To get to the Home of Loving Faithfulness you'll need to take the MTR to the Sheung Shui station in the New Territories. Go to exit D2 (GROUND FLOOR EXIT) where James and Shawn will be directing you to the 51K minibus that will take you to HOLF. Bonnie and Shuen will help you get on the right minibus. You can start arriving at Sheung Shui at 10:00am.
P Tommy will send the map in English and Chinese by WhatsApp, and also the Chinese name so you can show the mini-bus driver to let him/her know where to get off the bus. I'll also post the map on the Website and also on Facebook.
If you prefer, you can also take a New Territories taxi from the MTR station. It may only be a couple clicks on the taxi meter, so would not be very expensive. You would tell the driver to go to Ho Sheung Heung. If you have any questions you can always call me or Pastor Tommy.
Bring along your swim suit if you'd like to swim after lunch. You can leave any time you want.
On the coming Wednesday, we'll have the regular Wednesday Fellowship at 11:00am as well as the Connect Group and Spanish Fellowship Wednesday evening at 7:00pm.
On July 1, The bus 29R that goes from Sai Kung to the Sai Wan Pavilion does not run frequently. There is an 8:30, 9:15 and11:30 bus. If you are joining the outing, please be at McDonalds in Sai Kung at 9:15. We will not wait. The 11:30 bus would not leave much time at the beach. The final bus leaves Sai Wan. The cost of the bus is $17 from Sai Kung. Another option, which may actually be a bit cheaper if there are 5 people in a taxi is to Take the 94 bus to Pak Tam Chung, where we had the hike and BBQ at Dragon Boat Festival. Take a taxi from there to the Sai Wan Pavilion. We'll have a sign up on Sunday. If you will not be there on Sunday but would like to join, please let me know.
