Dear RG family,
Thanks to all of you who helped on Harmony Day. I appreciated how everybody pitched in to help getting the things to and from the park, working in the booths, singing, and cleanup, etc.
While the weather was sunny and not raining, it just happened to fall in a record heat wave of 4 days in a row above 35 degrees! I'm sure that kept many people away. But despite the heat, it was worthwhile because a lady from Nepal invited Jesus into her life in our games booth.
Come join us this Sunday for our worship service at noon. I will be sharing about the secret to God's presence in our lives. It's a follow up to the last time I preached about whether or not we really wanted his presence in our lives. In a general sense, God is present everywhere, or as we say, he's omni-present. However, in a personal sense, it's only those who want his intimate presence in their lives that actually have the benefits promised in the Bible. God will not force his presence on any of us in a personal way if we do not desire it.
Michael will be leading worship and singing one of the songs he wrote. James will be sharing his testimony. Though this is the first Sunday of the month, we'll have our regular fellowship lunch and celebrate June birthdays.
Here is another reminder of the T4T training. There will be 2 different opportunities to join the training courses. One of them will be held every Wednesday starting July 13. The other course (the same content as the first) will be starting on Sunday July 10 and thereafter be meeting on the 2-4th Sundays of each month.
Next Wednesday we will start the new Cantonese class at 5:30pm. We have a couple people already registered. If you know of anyone what wants to learn Cantonese, they are invited to join Louisa for that class. If they choose, they can stay for dinner, together with the Life Group. We'll also have our Wednesday morning fellowship at 11:00am, and in the evening the Life Group will meet at 7:00pm.
We want to thank Michael for teaching the English class, which just concluded on Wednesday. We will possibly continue it later in a different format. For now, all who attended the class are invited to join Life Group, where they can continue to practice their English.
