Dear RG family,
Our world is becoming more and more hostile to Christians. Even in the US, discrimination against Christ-followers is growing.
Currently across the globe, more than 200 million Christians are threatened because of their faith. This is a recurring problem in more than half (105 of 190) of the nations in the world, Relevant reports, noting that there have been more Christian martyrs in the 20th and 21st centuries than in the preceding 19 centuries — going back to Jesus Christ’s time on earth. (From Open Doors)
With that knowledge, this coming Sunday, which is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, we will have a concerts of prayer to pray to remember our brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering for their faith.
We hope you can join us at 12:00 for the service. We'll have our simple lunch after the service, another way in which we regularly remember those in who are in need.
Please remember to pray for the Leadership team, which will be meeting after lunch, as we discuss plans for 2017. As always, we need to hear from God.
