Dear RG family,
"Where is God When...? - Part 2" is the name of the sermon on Sunday... the second in the series of God's presence, or sometimes, seemingly, the lack of it at different times in our lives.
We're promised in different ways and in different verses of the Bible that God will never leave us or forsake us. However, if we're honest, at times, when things seem the toughest and we're facing some huge challenges, we can feel quite vulnerable and alone. Is God really there? Will he really be with us?
We'll be looking at a story from Israel's history in 2 Kings 6, when it seemed like the challenge was too great for them, and they were facing one of their enemies. Was God going to show up? Join us and find out!
P. Tommy will be leading the worship songs and team. We'll have our normal fellowship lunch following the service.
At 2:45pm, P. Cindy will be leading a training session on how to pray with someone. What are the keys to effectively praying with people to minister to their heart need and spirits? She'll be sharing about some of the ways to best do that.
Coming up on October 30th, we'll have a joint worship service at 11:00am with Yan Yue Church. It is HKEC (Hong Kong Evangelical Church) Sunday, a day when the church conference leaders visit the church, and share the sermon or other news about the conference activities. Please note the service starts 1 hour earlier than normal for RG.
After the service and lunch on the 30th. We'll have a special guest, Rev. Ron Ching, who will be sharing about the Lord's Prayer. I hope you can come to that time of sharing, and invite a friend!
