This coming Sunday we're going to look at two of the things Jesus told the people to do when he was raising Lazarus from the dead. One of the things he commanded was to roll the stone away. The other was to take the grave clothes off of him.
While this was an important event in the ministry of Jesus, demonstrating his power over death, there is a lot of spiritual symbolism in that event.
What are the implications of Jesus' commands? What does this event tell us about how Jesus want's to involve people, imperfect ones for sure, in his work and ministry on earth?
These are some of the issues we'll bring up on Sunday. Our service is at 12:00pm and this week, Gee will lead the worship team an songs.
At our fellowship lunch, we'll also celebrate October birthdays.
Thanks to those who helped raise over $1800 for refugee/asylum seeker transportation in the sale of the donated clothes. Those things which were not purchased or taken, will be given to Chrisitan Action.
This coming Sunday we'll have the second session of Alpha at 4:00pm. Bring your non-believing friends so they can learn what it means to have a relationship with Jesus. Even if you don't bring a friend, your'e welcome to attend.
Next Wednesday we'll also have the first Alpha course for those that can attend that day. Please pray that the Lord will open the eyes and hearts of those who come.
